What’s changed

1. ‘Enabling and disabling steps’ has moved to the Format Editor.

Previously, these controls were under “Steps” on the “My Settings” screen. We chose to move that functionality into the Format Editor, so that as you decide the order and flow of your notes, you can enable and disable steps accordingly without having to jump between screens.

By default, the format editor has all steps enabled. If you had steps disabled using the old “My settings” control, you will need to disable those now in the Format Editor. This change is very easy to make, and you can find step by step instructions here, or by searching in the “?” widget in the bottom right corner of Chronicler.

2. You can now add your own custom steps!

We’re really excited about this one!

Chronicler’s format editor now allows you to add your own custom steps, and populate them with custom statements to suit your needs. You can add as many custom steps as you want (we recommend moderation in custom steps, so that your notes and format editor don’t get too bloated), and you can reorder them in your note just like any other step.

Check out the demo video at the top of this post to see that in action. You can also find step by step instructions here, or by searching in the “?” widget in the bottom right corner of Chronicler.
