Laying an invisible foundation

For the past couple of weeks, much of our development effort has been focused on laying a foundation for increased customizability.

As of now, this work is purely behind the scenes, but in the coming weeks and months you’ll see enhancements that will enable you to tailor Chronicler’s workflow to fit your needs even more.

Specifically, we’re working on enhancements that will allow you to:

  • create your own custom sections in the Note-Builder workflow.
  • edit the prompt and sentence starter of existing sections.
    • Prompt = the text that appears above the search bar.
    • Sentence Starter = the text that appears at the beginning of the sentence.
  • Rearrange the order of the sections in the Note-Builder.
    • For example, if you like to identify the diagnostic categories first, and then think about the symptoms of those categories, you’ll be able to order those sections accordingly.

One of my favorite parts of software development is being able to demonstrate functionality that I’m excited about, so I’m a little bummed that I don’t have anything flashy to show you just yet. However, that also motivates me to keep working on bringing these enhancements to life, and I’ll continue to communicate updates with you in these Change Log posts as things progress.

But that’s not all we’ve been up to. Here’s what’s changed in Chronicler!

What’s changed?

1. We’ve added additional DSM diagnoses

Specifically, we’ve added diagnoses statements for the following diagnostic categories:

  • Obsessive Compulsive disorders
  • Gender Dysphoria
  • Neurodevelopmental disorders

You can use these in your treatment plans, or find them in progress notes by clicking the “diagnoses” option in the “Identifying Information” section.
